Fayetteville, NC September 15, 2007- Fayetteville Motor Speedway put the Mid South Wrecker Service Open Wheel Modified center stage on this Saturday night at the 4/10 clay oval and the winner took $1,500 to the bank.
Fayetteville’s upstart Carlos Jaramillo roared to the pole sitter spot in qualifying in his Mid South Wrecker-Jimmy Hall’s Heating &AC mount in search of his third win in the region this season and his first at Fayetteville Speedway. Jaramillo shot to the lead on the green flag lap and set the pace until 06 track champion Ricky Boahn of puppy Creek took his Star Leasing-Boahn & Sons Concrete entry to the lead for a brief time then his motor went sour and he was out of the 20 lap showdown. Jaramillo regained the top spot and set sail as the laps were winding down only 2007 points leader David Hart of Carthage could get close to even make a run at Jaramillo as he was hooked up and dialed in for this evening and won the big payday in style and Hart settled for a runner-up finish and increases his points led for the season. Mike Beasley of Raeford chased Jaramillo in the early going in his Star Leasing-Bedrock Mini Storage machine but seen Hart pass him and Beasley settled for a third place finish. Autryville hotshoe Jeff Tyndall ran fourth for RCR with Fayetteville speedster Chuck Jackson having another good outing as he put his Jackson Motorsports machine in the fifth spot for another top five showing..
The High Tech Transmission Late Model show was again a battle to see who would regain the top spot in the points chase for the year, Timmy Neighbors of Bunnlevel took the led in the opening laps in his Nichols Plumbing-Pro Engine ride then saw Jonathan Gunter of Fayetteville make a run at him and they tangled up in turns one and two and both were sent to the back of the field for the restart. Willie Milliken of Leland then took the point in his Corky Boy Williams Auto Sales hot rod and he was looking for another win just like Neighbors was on this night. Milliken and Neighbors entered the action tied for the season long points title and Milliken held off a tough Veteran Wayne Gray Jr. of Fayetteville in his Star Leasing-WG Lot Clearing-Dunn Benson Racing Supply entry to gain the points led again and Gray Jr. took the runner-up spot for the show, Defending champion D J Tyndall of Dunn put his D&K Muffler ride in the third spot and he’s still in the points chase for the season.
