Jamaica, VA – Bill Sawyer’s Virginia Motor Speedway will return to action this Saturday, August 18th with some hard chargin’, high octane, elbow’s up short track racing sure to please even the pickiest race fan. Speedway officials and fans alike are anxious for the return of Ernie Shelton’s 28th Annual USA 100™ presented by Thurston Spring Service, Inc. The $68,000 payout makes this event one of the highest paying one day shows in the country. The event returns to Virginia Motor Speedway for the second time with the blessing of the event originator Ernie Shelton, President of Tylerco Group USA, LLC, and Racing America Newspaper. This year’s edition will once again fly under the Mid-Atlantic Championship Series (MACS) banner.
The format will find time trails setting Twin $1000 to win, 25-lap qualifying events. The top 12 drivers from each of those will advance to the final 50-lap segment of the show paying $10,000 to-win.
